Red Rocks Brand Identity


Red Rocks is a City and County of Denver park and possibly the world’s most iconic natural amphitheatre.

This rebrand in 2004 positioned Red Rocks as not just a concert venue but as an outdoorsy tourist destination.

For the logo, I wanted to elevate the vibe to that of a national historic landmark. The custom drawn icon features the upward tilt of the two primary rocks that create the amphitheatre.

The primary usage is a badge with custom crafted typography on a curve. Anchored by the year established, the lockup is symmetrical yet organic.

Secondary usages were created for apparel and web applications.
