Fentanyl is complicated. What’s not complicated is that it’s killing people. Overdoses are on the rise in Wyoming just like everywhere else.
While there’s awareness of the potency of the drug, a common theme is people getting fentanyl that weren’t seeking it. They thought they had something else. Whether it be oxycodone or xanax bought online. Or cocaine, molly, meth or heroine they got from someone they know. They just didn’t know. And the consequences were dire.
This campaign issued a warning through tv, social and community outreach. The site educated with info on fentanyl test strips and Narcan.
